A disturbing case of alleged sexual assault has emerged from the Outer Seraj area of Kullu district after a 14-year-old girl suffered a miscarriage at her home. According to reports, the minor was rushed to Khaneri Hospital in Rampur, Shimla district, late on Saturday night in critical condition.

Hospital authorities found that the girl had suffered a miscarriage at home earlier that evening. Recognising the seriousness of the case, the attending medical officer immediately informed the police.

Acting on the medical officer's complaint, the police registered a case against an unidentified accused under Section 65(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Anni DSP Rajeev Mehta confirmed the incident and said an investigation was underway to identify and arrest the accused.

The victim is currently undergoing treatment, while the police have launched a hunt to trace the suspect. The incident has sparked widespread concern and outrage in the region.
