The High Court of Himachal Pradesh has designated 15 advocates as senior advocates with immediate effect.

The newly designated Senior Advocates are Ajay Chandel, Akhil Sain Chopra, Arvind Sharma, Deepak Gupta, Desh Raj, Karan Singh Kanwar, Manoj Pathak, Onkar Nath Jairath, Rahul Gupta, Ram Murti Bisht, Shubh Mahajan, Sumeet Raj Sharma, Surender Kumar Sharma, Vikas Rathore and Vikrant Thakur.

The latest designations reflect broad representation from the Bar across Himachal Pradesh. Notably, Akhil Sain Chopra and Rahul Gupta, both members of the District Bar at Dharamsala, have been conferred the distinction of senior advocate, marking a significant recognition for the district Bar.

The list also includes Shubh Mahajan, the only woman among the 15 advocates designated as senior advocates in this round.

The designation of senior advocate is one of the highest professional honours conferred on advocates in India. It recognises excellence in advocacy, legal acumen, integrity, standing at the Bar and contributions to the administration of justice.
