The Nolambur police have arrested Vignesh, 34, and Kamal, 33, of Senneerkuppam for allegedly abducting and assaulting Priyadharshan, 39, of Brindavan Avenue in Nolambur, over an unpaid loan of ₹15 lakh.

The police said Priyadharshan had borrowed ₹22.5 lakh from Senguttuvan, an acquaintance, to construct a lodge. On May 29, three men, including Vignesh and Kamal, abducted Priyadharshan and took him to Senneerkuppam. Senguttuvan met Priyadharshan and asked him to transfer ownership of the latter’s house to him. Priyadharshan was confined in a lodge for sometime and later dropped off near Maduravoyal Bypass. The police said a search is on for the other suspects.
