Andrade had been on the rise ever since his AEW return in January 2026, and he had aligned with the Don Callis Family. However, tensions began to arise, and he split from the faction. Moreover, the former WWE United States Champion had a big opportunity at the Redemption PPV, as he battled his former cohort, Mark Davis, for the National Championship. Andrade put up an excellent showing and won the match, thereby winning his first AEW singles title and his first one in a major promotion after seven years.
Thekla had established dominance ever since she won her first-ever AEW Women's World Championship from Kris Statlander a few months ago. During her reign, she beat the likes of Mina Shirakawa, Jamie Hayter, Hikaru Shida, and more. Moreover, she was just one step away from earning a top spot at AEW's biggest show, All In 2026. However, the fallout of the Redemption PPV has completely derailed those plans. The Toxic Spider defended her title against Willow Nightingale and failed to retain after a highly captivating bout. Therefore, Thekla suffered one of the night's biggest defeats, and the future now looks bleak for the woman who stood atop the mountain for months.
Maya World's spectacular rise in All Elite Wrestling hit a major milestone at the Redemption 2026 pay-per-view. After her exceptional PPV debut against a top star like Mercedes Mone at Forbidden Door, Maya had another major opportunity in her second PPV appearance as she squared off against Hikaru Shida for the TBS Championship. Despite being the underdog, Maya fought valiantly and made it tough for Shida, although the champion had dominated the majority of the match. In the final moments, Maya survived a Falcon Arrow by Shida by grabbing the rope and then took advantage of her distracted opponent to hit the powerslam and cover her for the pinfall to pick up the shocking victory. Moreover, it was doubly special for Maya World, as she won her first-ever AEW title on her birthday.
Tommaso Ciampa had a huge momentum heading into the Redemption 2026 PPV. He had defeated Chris Jericho in a major encounter at Beach Break 2026, a few weeks ago, and was set to face him in a rematch under the No-Holds-Barred stipulation. However, it was not Jericho, but his sinister alter-ego, The Painmaker, whom Ciampa had to face at Redemption. The former DIY member had another hellicious bout with Jericho, which was a gruesome sight. In the end, Jericho almost drilled a hole in Ciampa's head, and the sight scared him so much that he had no option but to tap, losing the match and derailing his spot on the AEW roster after an amazing buildup.
#1. New AEW Women's World Champion Willow Nightingale
Willow Nightingale completed her arc of Redemption at the namesake pay-per-view. A few months ago, she was in the midst of a dominant reign as the TBS Champion, but had to relinquish the title due to an unfortunate shoulder injury. Last month, the Conglomeration member made her surprise return in the Casino Gauntlet match and earned a shot at the AEW Women's World Championship against Thekla at Redemption 2026 PPV. She had an intense showdown against The Toxic Spider and even fended off the interference of Thekla's ally, Skye Blue. Finally, Nightingale found the opening and used a roll-up to win the match and become the new AEW Women's World Champion.
The victory made her the first woman to become the first-ever Women's Grand Slam Champion in the company. Moreover, Nightingale has also earned a spot at their upcoming premier event, All In 2026. She will defend her newly won gold against her longtime rival, Mercedes Mone, who won the Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament this year.
