A WWE veteran has disclosed his plans to make his in-ring return mere 11 months after he initially bid goodbye to the wrestling business to pursue other interests. In a recent interview, Jake Hager stated that he could be returning imminently with Juggalo Championship Wrestling, a company spearheaded by Vince Russo.

Hager, who went by the name Jack Swagger in WWE, had a fairly successful run in the global juggernaut, where he won the World Heavyweight, US, and ECW Titles, once each. He later took his talents to AEW, where he was a member of the Chris Jericho-led stable The Inner Circle. Jake Hager left the promotion in 2024 on very acrimonious terms and has often called out Tony Khan since then.

Hager got into the trucking business after his retirement and tried his hand at Power Slap recently. Things didn't go in his favor, though, as he was knocked out by former TNA star Mahabali Shera in a moment that went viral on the internet.

Amid this, Jake Hager has revealed that he was close to making his wrestling comeback. Speaking to Off The Rails, Hager explained that he made this decision as he wanted multiple sources of income rather than relying only on his business.

Furthermore, Hager added that he was in talks with Juggalo Championship Wrestling and could soon be at one of their shows. He also mentioned that he would love to get into the coaching side of the business down the line.

While it remains to be seen if WWE ever comes knocking at his door, the chances of Hager and AEW ever working again are close to none.
