Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Sunday laid the foundation stone for the ₹339.59-crore Bhuvanagiri-Chityal four-lane road project at Ramannapet, marking the commencement of Stage-I, Package-2/7 of the road development programme.
The project involves the development of 109.3 km of roads and is aimed at improving connectivity and transport infrastructure in the region.
The Minister, accompanied by Bhuvanagiri MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, Government Whip and Aler MLA Beerla Ilaiah, Nakrekal MLA Vemula Veeresham and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District Collector Anurag Jayanti, unveiled the foundation plaque and formally inaugurated the works.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Venkat Reddy said people had been waiting for several years for the widening of the Bhuvanagiri-Chityal road. The project, he said, would significantly improve transportation facilities, reduce travel time and provide safer and more convenient connectivity for commuters.
The Minister said the State government was according high priority to road infrastructure and implementing development works at a rapid pace with the objective of providing quality public infrastructure across Telangana.
