A top WWE Superstar recently discussed their retirement plans. They are set to hang up their wrestling boots at the end of 2027.
The name being discussed is Nikki Bella. She returned to WWE TV this past Friday after being on the sidelines for nearly four months due to a severe ankle injury. The 42-year-old saved her twin, Brie Bella, and Paige from Fatal Influence. The babyface trio is now set to battle the heel faction in a six-woman tag team match at SummerSlam 2026.
Nikki kicked off her latest WWE run in 2025. While she has yet to win a title since her comeback, the Hall of Famer has already worked with some of the biggest names on the roster, such as Stephanie Vaquer and Becky Lynch.
The Fearless One was set to challenge for the Women's Tag Team Championship alongside Brie at WrestleMania 42. However, an ankle injury prevented her from competing at The Showcase of the Immortals.
On the latest edition of The Nikki & Brie Show, the former Divas Champion said she was at the tail end of her WWE in-ring career. Nikki also revealed that she was planning to hang up her wrestling boots around December 2027.
Fatal Influence has established itself as a force to be reckoned with since debuting on the main roster. Can The Bella Twins and Paige take down the faction in Minneapolis? Only time will tell.
Nikki Bella has arguably done it all in her WWE career. She is widely considered one of the pioneers of the women's revolution in the company. The Fearless One has also found immense success outside of pro wrestling in the entertainment industry.
In the same edition of The Nikki & Brie Show, The Fearless One said she would push for the creative ideas she believed in her final run as an in-ring performer. Nikki wished to empower women and conclude her career on her terms without worrying about her backstage image.
It will be interesting to see if Nikki captures the Women's Tag Team Championship alongside her sister before retiring from in-ring action.
