Delhi Police has arrested five men for allegedly killing a 19-year-old factory worker over an old dispute, officials said on Thursday.

Chandan's body was found lying face down in bushes near the DDA Ground in Rohini Sector-23 on July 13 after the Begumpur police received a PCR call, they said.

The police said bloodstains were found on and around the body, while a broken black helmet was recovered from the spot. Crime team and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) personnel examined the scene and collected evidence.

"Chandan, a resident of Delhi, worked as a labourer at a factory in Rithala village. He was taken to a hospital where doctors declared him dead. Doctors found a stab wound on the left side of his chest," the police said.

An FIR was registered at the Begumpur police station, following which teams were formed to investigate the case.

The police said Chandan's movements were reconstructed through technical surveillance and field verification, leading investigators to the suspects.

The accused -- Kanha Chauhan (18), Amrit (18), Akbar (20), Girish (24) and Aman (25) -- were arrested on July 14 after police conducted raids at multiple locations to crack the case.

During interrogation, the accused allegedly confessed to their involvement in the murder, the police said, adding that further investigation is underway.
