Hangman Page is set to return to AEW for the first time since his loss at AEW Revolution against MJF for the AEW World Championship. Due to the stipulation of the match, Adam Page can never challenge for the AEW World title ever again. However, fans were still expecting Hangman to return to the company's programming, as he's one of the top faces in the promotion and deserves to be prominently booked at the upcoming All In pay-per-view.
While many fans expected a surprise return during a major match, Tony Khan shocked them by announcing that the Cowboy will return at this week's Collision. This announcement has thrown all the fan speculation into chaos. Since Page cannot be involved in the AEW World title picture anymore, everyone is curious about what the future holds for last year's Owen Hart Foundation Cup winner.

Like the other founding members of All Elite Wrestling, Hangman Page also has a history with the Bullet Club. Another member of the infamous New Japan Pro-Wrestling group who recently made his return to the Jacksonville-based company is Jay White. Both stars have history with each other, as Hangman was White's first opponent after he became the U.S. Champion in New Japan.
The two stars also have a history in AEW, as they've had several matches against each other. They were also involved in a short feud in 2024 and had two matches, which Jay White won. On Collision, Hangman could interact with White in a backstage segment to set up another matchup between them. He could also help White in his ongoing feud against the Death Riders and the Dogs.
Last year, Hangman Page won the Owen Hart Foundation Cup after defeating Will Ospreay in a grueling final match at Double or Nothing. The win marked the beginning of his campaign to win the AEW World Championship for the second time in his career. Ospreay and many others helped him even the odds against the Death Riders and beat Jon Moxley at All In to become champion.
This year, Will Ospreay finally fixed his mistake from last year and won the Owen Hart Foundation Cup by beating Swerve Strickland in the final. He's finally in the same spot that he lost to Hangman a year ago. The Cowboy could confront the newest Death Rider upon his return on Collision and give him some advice ahead of his big World title match against Kenny Omega at All In: London.
Hangman Page was having the time of his life as AEW World Champion last year following his big win against Jon Moxley at All In: Texas. However, his good days didn't last long as Samoa Joe defeated him at Full Gear to win the title. Hangman vowed to win back the title at World's End in a Fatal Four-Way match involving Swerve, Joe, and MJF, but the Salt of the Earth stole the win and the gold.
Adam Page had another chance to win the title from MJF in a Texas Death Match at the Revolution pay-per-view in March. The champion had set the stipulation that if Hangman loses the match, he can never challenge for the World title ever again in his career. The Cowboy lost, and it was his last appearance on the company's programming.
As his first order of business, Hangman could call out MJF when he makes his return on Collision. This could set up a match between the two at All In.

When Hangman Page returns at this week's episode of Collision, he could meet with Swerve and reunite the dangerous duo once again. Both men are out of the AEW World title picture this year, as Swerve also lost in the final of the Owen Hart Foundation Cup at Forbidden Door. They can reunite for a short period before eventually turning on each other to set up another match between them at Wembley Stadium.
Kenny Omega finished one of the greatest comeback stories in professional wrestling when he won the AEW World Championship from MJF at this past week's episode of Dynamite. He will now be a part of the main event of this year's All In pay-per-view against Will Ospreay at Wembley Stadium.
Hangman Page was the one who dethroned Kenny Omega in 2021 and ended his first reign as AEW World Champion. Both stars have a lot of history dating back to their time in New Japan and even the initial days of AEW. Hangman could congratulate Kenny on his World title win in a heartfelt moment and wish him luck for his upcoming match against Will Ospreay.
