Palworld's combat can get very challenging in the endgame. Everyone must have dedicated Pals and teams surrounding them to take on some of the most difficult bosses in the game. Ranging from high level Towers, to Raid bosses, and Legendary Pals in the open world, the difficulty tiers have multiple layers to it, leading players to properly build and set their teams with combat Pals before taking them on.
This article lists seven best combat Pals in 1.0 update.
Before going into details, the following is a summarized list on all the Pals we will be putting spotlights on:
The list consists of Pals that deals damage by themselves, alongside support Pals that can amplify the DPS Pals' output, and even heal them, making each a key part in a combat setup.
Orserk is an endgame Pal who resides in the World Tree map, specifically in the red biome fire area. Aside from providing Level 8 Electricity at base, the Pal's skill is also suitable for combat, as it amplifies another Pal's damage and defense.
Their skill is called Ferocious Thunder Dragon, and it increases attack and defense of the Pal fighting alongside you by 5% at level 5, stacking up to 30 times.
All you need is Orserk in the party, a DPS Pal fighting alongside you in a fight, and a weapon that shoots out bullet. Simply shoot that weapon and land bullets for your Pals to have 150% increased attack and defense.
Jormuntide Ignis is one of the best fire Pals in the game for combat, due to its ability to deal increased damage against burning enemies. This is your best choice for DPS against enemies that are weak to fire, as the damage buff goes to 100% against burning enemies at level 5 Pal skill for Jormuntide Ignis.
Knocklem Ignis can hold ground on their own due to their skill, Iron Guardian Mode, which increases attack and defense by 210% at level 5, when activated. This makes them highly potent in fights, and viable to take massive incoming damage in Raid boss scenarios as well.
Frostallion is a powerful Ice Pal you can get early on, from the snow biome of the first map. This Legendary Pal can be used as a flying mount, or as a DPS unit, as they come with the Legend rainbow-tier passive skill by default, and launches powerful AOE ice attacks on enemies.
The Noct version of Frostallion does everything similar to their snow variant, but deals Dark damage instead.
Solenne is a new addition in 1.0, an endgame Pal who can be found in the World Tree. They come with 8 Handiwork at base, but with the active skill called Untainted Maiden that buffs player's attack by 80% at level 5, if other Pals in your party are of different species.
The best part about this skill is that you do not need to activate it at any time. Simply keep Solenne in your party, and you will get the 80% attack boost at all times.
Celesdir Noct can be found in the World Tree, and comes with a 'high-risk, high-reward' passive skill that might not be suitable for everyone. Their skill, Blessing of Chaos, cuts a small percentage of the active Pal's health on the field every second by amplifying their attack power.
Celesdir Noct is great for your Pals only when your active fighting Pal has the Immortality randbow-tier passive on them.
Lyleen and Lyleen Noct can be obtained at the same time from Sakurajima, and they are the best Pals to heal your entire party during fights. Both these Pals' active skills, Blessing of the Flower Spirit and Goddess of the Tranquil Light, restores health of the player and all Pals in the party by 2000 at level 5.
It is also highly recommended for players to get the Idiosyncratic rainbow-tier passive on either of the Lyleens for more passive health regeneration while in combat.
