The State government has decided to build Resettlement and Rehabilitation colonies on the 90 acres of land in the N.T.R. district for the non-tribal families who were displaced by the Polavaram irrigation project in V.R. Puram mandal in Polavaram district.

    Polavaram Irrigation Project Administrator V. Abhishek stated in a release that the land in Rollupadu and Penukolanu has been finalised for the rehabilitation of the non-tribals being displaced from the V.R. Puram mandal. “The 90 acres of land has access to safe drinking water and a better transport network. Resettlement and Rehabilitation colonies will be built with all necessary infrastructure and amenities,” said Mr. Abhishek.

    Yetapaka Special Deputy Collector G. Balakrishna Reddy and other revenue officials have also inspected the land for the rehabilitation.
