To start taking care of the Dino Kid, you have to first find and rescue him by obtaining the red key and unlocking the cave. After returning to the base, you can befriend him, start feeding him different food items, and collect his belongings that are spread across the map. In return, the kid will help you in collecting wood logs.

The Dino Kid update was released on July 11, 2026. It introduces Dino Kid progression, new camp jobs, collectible trinkets, and a secret challenge for experienced players.

To obtain the Dino Kid, you must find the Red Key, use it to unlock the cave, rescue him, and bring him back to your campsite. Once rescued, you can befriend and take care of him.
