AGF will welcome Lech Poznan at Cepheus Park in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday. Both teams are kicking off their campaign in the second qualifying round in the Champions Path.

AGF earned their qualification after clinching the Danish Superliga last season. They topped the regular-season standings and won the championship round to become league champions for the sixth time. It was their first success since 1986. The hosts are hoping to take this momentum into their continental campaign.

De Hvii'e last participated in the Champions League long ago, in 1960-61, when the competition was known as the European Cup. However, they have been playing in other UEFA competitions, finishing in the second qualifying round of the Conference League in 2023-24. AGF and Lech Poznan are set to face off against each other for the first time.

AGF have played four friendly matches in the offseason, winning twice, drawing once, and losing once. They will hope to launch their season on a bright note using this game.

Lech Poznan’s best record in the Champions League remains a third-round qualifying finish. They are certainly eying something bigger this time.
