You will have to survive 13 night shifts at the store and beat the finale before you arrive at one of three possible endings. Each of them depends upon two main choices in the story: whether or not you call Clyde the sheriff, and how much funds you have amassed for your pet goose's surgery.
Take a look below:
For the Grave Decision ending, calling Clyde at Night 12 ensures you need not pay a cent out of your pocket for your pet's surgery. However, this sacrifices him, leading to the Sheriff's funeral. Empty House plays out the opposite, as you spare Clyde by not calling him; however, this locks out the free surgery option, and if you are unable to save up $250, the goose is gone for good.
The True Ending, meanwhile, requires the most effort. You must try to save up as much personal funds as possible when you get the surgery email at the end of Night 10. With only three days left to cover the $250 cost, this requires being efficient in management, namely:
Do note that Store funds (including Quota and Shopping Balance) do not pay for the surgery; only personal funds do, so you can invest in weaponry and other tools to keep the store safe. Shift At Midnight is also best played in co-op, as you can split chores, especially when tasked with battling off enemies and surviving the night from danger to minimize losses.
