New Delhi: YRF Spy Universe’s latest installment, Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt, is maintaining a steady hold at the box office. The film, after seeing a slight growth in its collection on Tuesday, once again witnessed a major drop in its collection and occupancy on its sixth day at the box office.

The film opened to mixed reviews, but managed to mint decent numbers at the ticket window. The film had a strong opening at the box office, but failed the Monday test.

On day 6, Alpha collected Rs 2.86 crore, witnessing 32.9 per cent drop in its collections from it’s last day’s collection. The film also registered only 10 per cent occupancy on its sixth day across 7,321 shows.

The film’s total India gross collection has now reached Rs 53.59 crore, and total India net collection stands at Rs 44.95 crore. On day 6, the film collected only Rs 1.50 crore overseas, taking the total overseas collection to Rs 21.30 crore. The worldwide gross collection stands at Rs 74.89 crore.

The film opened in theatres with Rs 9.25 crore, and went on to mint Rs 11.50 crore on its first Saturday. On its first Sunday, it earned Rs 13.25 crore and on day 4, it collected Rs 3.84 crore. On its day 5, the film earned Rs 4.25 crore.

Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh, is the latest installment in the YRF Spy Universe. The films in the universe are Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, Pathaan, War, War 2, and Tiger 3.

The film is directed by Shiv Rawail and produced by YRF. It also features Bobby Deol, Anil, and a cameo by Hrithik Roshan, who is seen reprising his role of Kabir from War franchise. The film revolves around Sita (Alia Bhatt), who must join hands with Sharvari Wagh to stop her father (Bobby Deol) who has gone rogue.
