Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for approving the third & fourth railway lines between Guntakal and Ballari.

    In a social media post on Saturday (July 25, 2026), Mr. Naidu said the new lines would significantly strengthen the east-west rail corridor, enhance connectivity between Rayalaseema, north Karnataka and Goa, decongest the existing network and facilitate faster movement of passengers and freight.

    With an investment of ₹1,264 crore, including nearly ₹600 crore in Andhra Pradesh (AP), the project would improve connectivity to Krishnapatnam and the upcoming Ramayapatnam port, create new economic opportunities and benefiting millions across AP and Karnataka, the CM added.
