Paul Wight (FKA The Big Show) recently shared a personal update on social media. He received support from several names in the industry, including some top AEW stars and others with whom he had worked in the past.
The former WWE Champion may not have competed in an official match in roughly two and a half years, but he has still been contributing in his own way for the Jacksonville-based company. He has been making some on-screen appearances, helping backstage, and appearing in media events.
Paul Wight has yet to hang up his boots, and he has not given up on a return to the ring. He recently shared on Instagram that he has been following a cardio routine. This was a sixty-minute workout that he claimed helped him burn thousands of calories.
He received words of support from his peers, including Kurt Angle, Dustin Rhodes, Natalya, Tom Pestock, and David Otunga, who had worked with him in the past, and complimented him. Even new AEW International Champion Kyle Fletcher was in disbelief at the sight of his workout routine.

Last night, AEW aired a special episode of Dynamite in Clearwater, Florida, featuring several highly talked-about matches and moments. But for those in attendance, the festivities began early on with the pre-show.
Wight made an appearance to aid Sting's son, Steven Borden, and Kiran Grey, who were being attacked by Jay Lethal and Blake Christian. He got physical with the heel duo in the ring, which was a great surprise for the fans in attendance.
Paul Wight appears to be in good condition lately, but it remains to be seen whether he'll be cleared for in-ring competition. He has been vocal about going on one final run and working towards that goal. With his last match on TV being in November 2023, this would be a long-awaited affair.
