The headmistress of another school in Karur has been suspended for screening the live telecast of Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay’s Friday speech to students on the premises. Earlier, a headmistress from a school at Krishnarayapuram in Karur district was suspended for this.

Following this, allegations arose that the scenes from the Chief Minister’s meeting were similarly screened at the Panchayat Union Middle School at Mahadhanapuram in Karur. Following an inquiry conducted into the matter, the school’s headmistress, R. Rajeshwari, has been suspended.

The official announcement regarding this states that the action was taken for defying the School Education Department’s circular issued on July 9.
