“It is the responsibility of every BJP worker to make every household aware of the achievements of the Central Government,” said former Union Minister Anurag Thakur while addressing the inaugural session of the two-day district-level training campaign of the BJP at Barsar, near Hamirpur, on Wednesday. He said, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has set new benchmarks in public welfare, good governance and development over the past 12 years. Pucca houses have been provided to over four crore families under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, drinking water connections to 15 crore rural families through the Jal Jeevan Mission and financial assistance has been extended to over 11 crore farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi.”
Rajya Sabha MP Dr Sikander Kumar said, “India has emerged as the world’s third-largest startup ecosystem, with over 100 unicorn startups developing in the country over the past 12 years. During this period, there has been unprecedented expansion in the IITs, IIMs, AIIMS, medical colleges, universities and medical seats, providing the youth with access to quality education and better opportunities.”
He added that the Union Government had bestowed historic gifts upon the state, including AIIMS-Bilaspur, a PGI satellite centre in Una, national highway and four-lane projects, rural road networks, digital connectivity and advancements in the health and education sectors.
