Electrical connections and transformers have been installed at the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) electric bus depots at Gajuwaka and Simhapuri.

Regional Manager of APSRTC, Visakhapatnam, B. Appala Naidu and Superintending Engineer of APEPDCL, Shyam Babu, conducted a joint inspection of the two depots on Saturday (July 11, 2026). The power connections were provided by APEPDCL following the directives of its Chairman and Managing Director.

Officials stated that while the primary electrical infrastructure is now in place, the remaining work—including the installation of charging stations, platform development, and completion of building infrastructure—is scheduled to be finished by next month. A joint team of engineers and staff from both APEPDCL and APSRTC were part of the inspection.
