During an interview with SCREEN, Archana looked back at the time when Parmeet proposed to her before their marriage in 1992. She revealed that she had accepted the proposal with two clear conditions.

According to the actress, she had told Parmeet that she would never enter the kitchen and that she did not want wet towels left on the bed. Laughing during the interview, Archana said she had never realised that the conversation would later find its way into one of Parmeet's films.

She revealed that it was only when the interviewer pointed it out that she connected the similarity. Archana admitted that she had never thought about it before but agreed that the dialogue had indeed come from her own life.

She further shared, "Parmeet wrote Badmaash Company. When Shahid proposed to Anushka, she gave the same line, ‘I’ll never enter the kitchen and no wet towels on the bed.’ That was my line. I still don’t go into the kitchen."

Having already built a successful acting career, Archana took on the responsibility of supporting the household while Parmeet worked towards finding his place in Bollywood. She noted that the situation was quite similar to the dynamic shown in Mr Ya Mrs., where her character ends up becoming the earning member of the family.

The couple, who tied the knot in 1992, has often spoken openly about their relationship and continues to be admired by fans for their candid and humorous interactions online.

The actress said she has continued to look for more meaningful and substantial roles even after spending decades in the entertainment industry.

Archana will next be seen in Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya, directed by Himank Gaur. The series also stars Kay Kay Menon, Naveen Kasturia, Deven Bhojani and Abhimanyu Singh in key roles.

The upcoming show is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on July 24.
