Argentina extended its unbeaten run at the FIFA World Cup to 13 games after it came back from a goal down to beat England 2-1 in the semifinal in Atlanta on Wednesday.

Antony Gordon gave England the lead in the 55th minute before Enzo Fernandez and Lautaro Martinez completed the comeback for the title holder, both of them assisted by Lionel Messi.

The defending champion will take on Spain in the final on July 19 at the New York/New Jersey Stadium.

How far away is Argentina from the all-time record?

The result leaves Argentina three wins away from reaching Netherlands’ record of 16 consecutive World Cup games without defeat.

The Dutch last faced defeat in the 2010 final, losing 1-0 to Spain in extra time.

In the ongoing edition Netherlands bowed out in the Round of 32 against Morocco, but it does not count for the streak as it lost on penalties after the match ended 1-1 after 120 minutes.
