Arsenal's reported interest in Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr has triggered plenty of reactions on social media, with many rival fans dismissing the possibility of the Brazilian winger moving to the Emirates Stadium.

According to a report by The Athletic's David Ornstein, Arsenal hierarchy have been granted approval to pursue a move for the Real Madrid forward amid the uncertainties surrounding his future at the Santiago Bernabeu.

No breakthrough has been reported between the two clubs yet, but the Gunners have a good reason to believe they've got a chance to snap up a player who has just one year left on his contract in the Spanish capital.

Meanwhile, there are many rival fans who are not convinced by the speculation. They feel the Premier League champions don't have the pull to lure Vinicius Jr from Real Madrid and have taken to social media to air their thoughts.

Arsenal are looking to add quality reinforcements to their attack after falling short in the Champions League last season. The Gunners have been linked with Vinicius Jr for the last couple of weeks and it would be interesting to see if they can manage to pull off the deal. That would definitely be their biggest transfer in the last decade.

The Brazilian has been unsettled at Real Madrid since the arrival of Kylian Mbappe. With the La Liga giants reportedly pursuing the likes of Michael Olise and Yan Diomande, it actually looks like the player has finally reached the end of the road at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Vinicius Jr is widely regarded as one of the finest wingers in the world at the moment, with his combination of blistering pace, elite dribbling and incredible finishing making him a big problem for even elite defenders.

The 26-year-old was one of the top performers at the recently concluded FIFA World Cup, where he bagged four goals and one assist to fire Brazil into the Round of 16. He was also influential for Real Madrid during the 2025-26 season, recording 22 goals and 14 assists.

His ability to beat defenders in one-on-one situations and create chances in transition would complement the likes of Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice at the Emirates Stadium. It remains to be seen if the Gunners can go all the way and make the deal happen.
