Babar Azam will return as Pakistan Test captain when his side takes on West Indies in the first match at the Brian Lara Academy in Tarouba starting Saturday for a two-game series.
The star Pakistan batter, Babar, took over leadership role from Shan Masood, who was removed from captaincy after a poor 30-month stint where the team lost 12 out of 16 Tests.
Babar was previously appointed captain in 2021. He led in 20 matches out of which Pakistan won 10, lost six and drew four games.
