Bangladesh foreign secretary Asad Alam Siam is likely to become the next high commissioner to India, official sources said on Wednesday.

As per Bangladesh media reports, Riaz Hamidullah, the current high commissioner to India, may be posted as Bangladesh's permanent representative to the UN Office in Geneva and Salahuddin Noman Chowdhury, Bangladesh's current permanent representative to the United Nations in New York, will most likely become the next foreign secretary of the country.
