BJP state president Dr Archan Gupta on Monday dismissed speculation over party leader Kuldeep Bishnoi's alleged displeasure with the party, and said that there was no question of differences within the organisation and that BJP leaders were working together with complete unity.
“Kuldeep Bishnoi is our highly respected leader and a senior member of the BJP family. He is like my elder brother. There is no question of any resentment. We all are united and working together to strengthen the party,” said Gupta while interacting with media persons after launching the party’s statewide “Swachhta Hi Swagat” (cleanliness is welcome) campaign.
She launched an attack on the Congress and claimed it is a 'divided house'. “There is a fundamental difference between the BJP and the Congress. We are here to serve and contribute, while they are only interested in gaining power. Politics revolves around personal interests, dynasty and family rule,” Gupta said.
Asked about the recent meeting between senior BJP leader Satish Poonia and Congress veteran Chaudhary Birender Singh, Gupta said she was unaware of the details and suggested it could have been a personal meeting. “I do not have any information about it. It may have been a personal meeting, so I cannot comment on it,” she added.
On being asked about the absence of three BJP MLAs and Union Minister Rao Inderjeet Singh from a recent programme attended by Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Gupta maintained that the BJP remained a disciplined organisation. “Our party is highly disciplined. Party takes all decisions in an organised manner,” she added.
Earlier, Gupta launched the BJP's cleanliness campaign in Karnal by cleaning some areas in Sector-12. She also honoured sanitation workers and cleanliness volunteers in recognition of their contribution to society.
“The campaign, being organised from July 13 to 19, is part of preparations for PM Modi’s visit to Jind on July 17, where he is scheduled to flag off the hydrogen-powered train,” she said.
Accompanied by district president Parveen Lather, Indri MLA Ram Kumar Kashyap, Karnal MLA Jagmohan Anand, Mayor Renu Bala Gupta, Assandh MLA Yogendra Rana, she called the visit of PM a historic occasion for both Haryana and the country. “PM would be welcomed with a collective pledge towards cleanliness,” she added.
Prior to participating in this campaign, BJP state president paid floral tributes to Lord Parshuram.
