WWE legend Booker T retired from in-ring competition a few years back. However, he is still a huge part of the sports entertainment juggernaut. He is comentator on NXT and also runs a popular independent wrestling promotion called Reality of Wrestling.
This week's NXT featured an amazing fatal four-way match where Zaria defended her NXT Women's North American Title against Izzi Dame, Lizzy Rain, and Nikkita Lyons. World Wrestling Entertainment signed Lizzy Rain earlier this year. The 28-year-old is a talented in-ring competitor and is expected to be a massive star in the future. She was known as Rayne Leverkusen on the independent circuit, and she is a former PROGRESS Women's Champion.
During Rain's entrance in the showdown above, Booker T referred to her as the Rainmaker.
This was unexpected, confusing, and hilarious because the Rainmaker is AEW icon Kazuchika Okada's moniker. It has infact been his nickname since his NJPW days.
The 61-year-old has evidently been following All Elite Wrestling. Although he is one of the biggest critics of the Tony Khan-led promotion, it seems like he is paying close attention to the rival company.
SummerSlam 2026 will happen on Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2, 2026, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This is Brock Lesnar's hometown. The Beast will lock horns with Oba Femi in a Hell in a Cell in the upcoming PLE.
In a recent episode of the Hall of Fame Podcast, Booker T said the upcoming show will be a perfect send-off for Brock Lesnar.
The WWE legend definitely has a point. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Lesnar.
