A major young star could be joining WWE very soon and has officially bid farewell to the fans before the start of a new chapter in her career. The star in question is none other than World Wonder Ring STARDOM's Xena who recently announced that she won't be re-signing with the Joshi Wrestling promotion. Following her departure from the company at the recent STARDOM Nighter in Korakuen event, the company issued a public statement.

Xena made a name for herself in World Wonder Ring STARDOM as a member of the Club Venus stable. She used to team up with current SmackDown star Blake Monroe there during her time as Mariah May. The group was later reformed into a new stable by Xena, Mina Shirakawa, Maika, Hanako and Tsukiyama as Empress Nexus Venus. However, that stable was also disbanded earlier this year after the group lost a dissolution elimination match.

Last month, Xena announced that she won't be re-signing with STARDOM after her contract expires. Her final appearance in the company was set to be on July 8th where she lost to her long-time ally Waka Tsukiyama. A lot of her fellow stars and former stablemates came out in the ring to bid her farewell. Following this, STARDOM issued a public statement quoting Xena where she called the promotion her family.

False Finish HQ had recently reported that the Australian star could sign with WWE or AAA soon, following her STARDOM departure. She's expected to join the company in the next few months. It would make a lot of sense to have Xena in WWE as she can have rivalries with former STARDOM wrestlers like Blake Monroe and Giulia there.

It will be interesting to see Xena will join the Stamford-based company now that she has said goodbye to STARDOM.

WWE's Women's Division has not been doing so well in terms of booking for the last few months. However, that is not because of the talent as the company is filled with great female in-ring perfomers. A lot of these stars made a name for themselves in World Wonder Ring STARDOM before joining the Stamford-based company.

The newest SmackDown member Blake Monroe was popular name in STARDOM as Mariah May. She also used that name during her run in All Elite Wrestling. Stars like Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer and IYO SKY who are major names in the company have all wrestled in STARDOM before.

Fans are curious to see how WWE will treat Xena if she joins the company considering that they've heavily pushed her other fellow ex-STARDOM talent.
