On WWE SmackDown, a huge return took place tonight. A star made her comeback to the ring after multiple months away from the ring due to an injury.

Brie Bella was facing Lainey Reid in a singles match on WWE SmackDown, but Fatal Influence decided to get involved and try to take out both Paige and Bella. However, what they were not expecting was the return of Nikki Bella. The star has been out since before WrestleMania. The Hall of Famer made an immediate impact, with her return taking them by surprise and sending them running.

She said that the three of them would be ready to face Fatal Influence at SummerSlam in a six-person tag team match.

Due to an injury heading into WrestleMania 42, Nikki Bella was not able to compete in the match that she had been set for to team with her sister, Brie Bella, who was also returning to the ring. She faced Charlotte Flair in a tag match before the bout, and in it, when Flair attempted a rollup, things went wrong with her as she rolled her ankle badly. However, that was not all that happened, as the at-first-normal moment turned out to be a tragic one, as her ankle was critically injured.

Nikki was not able to make the title match and was instead replaced by the returning Paige. Paige and her sister, Brie Bella, went on to win the titles instead. Unfortunately, after more than three months holding the belts, they lost the championship to Fatal Influence.

Now, while they won't be able to win it back at WWE SummerSlam, a win there would certainly put them in position for a rematch. What remains to be seen is who teams with Brie Bella for the title match - Paige or her newly returned sister, Nikki Bella.
