Former NFL quarterback Brett Favre reposted a clip of a controversial anti-Islam interview of Daniel Burmawi by David J. Harris Jr. The Jordanian-born author appeared on a segment of The Pulse hosted by Harris on Newsmax on Saturday.

Harris asked Burmawi for comments on a controversial video of an imam in Florida celebrating the conversion of local churches into mosques. Brett Favre is a Hall of Fame quarterback best known for his historic 16-season run with the Green Bay Packers. He was notable for his gunslinger playing style and durability. He set an incredible NFL record by making 321 consecutive starts from 1992 to 2010.

He led the Packers on an historic run to win Super Bowl XXI and became the first player to win three straight NFL MVP awards. Before his pro career, Brett Favre was a standout at Southern Miss.

He was drafted in the second round by the Atlanta Falcons in 1991, spending a brief underwhelming rookie season there. He was then traded to Green Bay, where he spent the vast majority of his career.

However, he played his final seasons with the New York Jets and the Minnesota Vikings before retiring with 71,838 passing yards and 508 touchdowns. Off the field, he has faced heavy scrutiny due to his health battles and legal controversies.

He revealed in a 2024 congressional hearing that he had been diagnosed with idiopathic Parkinson’s disease. He has also been open about the physical toll of football, noting he likely suffered hundreds of concussions, consequently battling a severe painkiller addiction.
