Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao on Thursday alleged that the Congress government had failed to fulfil the promises made to youth and unemployed people under its Youth Declaration.

Addressing a review meeting held at the residence of LB Nagar MLA Sudhir Reddy, Mr. Rama Rao said students and unemployed youth were continuing to question the government’s inability to implement its pre-election assurances. He said the BRS had been organising a series of public meetings across the State to highlight what it described as the Congress government’s failure to honour its commitments.

As part of the campaign, the party will organise a Yuva Sangrama Sadassu at Saroornagar Stadium on July 18. Mr. Rama Rao said the convention, expected to draw large participation from youth and students, would focus on the alleged shortcomings in the implementation of the Congress Youth Declaration.

The review meeting was attended by Hyderabad city BRS MLAs, public representatives and senior party leaders.

Mr. Rama Rao cautioned party leaders against possible attempts to create obstacles to the convention and urged them to remain prepared to address any such challenges. The meeting also reviewed logistical arrangements to ensure the successful conduct of the programme.
