Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark is "hoping" to make her return on Wednesday when they visit the LA Sparks at Crypto.com Arena.

Clark, who hasn't played in two weeks due to a back injury, faced the media ahead of the Fever's practice on Tuesday.

Caitlin Clark added that she was able to participate in "a good amount of practice" over the past week. She has been sidelined since leaving Indiana's 111-109 loss to the Phoenix Mercury on June 24. The Fever star left in the third quarter of that game and did not return.

The Fever are heading into a road back-to-back on Wednesday and Thursday. After battling LA, they will head to Phoenix to face the Mercury. They will next visit Las Vegas on Sunday before heading home to host the Golden State Valkyries on July 15.

The Indiana Fever had a unique schedule over the last two weeks that included a seven-day break. Due to this, Caitlin Clark has only missed a couple of games while recovering from her back injury: the June 27 win vs. LA and Sunday's victory over the Las Vegas Aces.

In the same media availability on Tuesday, Clark was asked about how much the schedule helped her and her team.

Before her injury, Caitlin Clark had played in 17 games, averaging a career-high 21.2 points, 8.2 assists and 4.0 rebounds on 43.0% shooting. Heading into Wednesday, the Fever are No. 6 in the WNBA with a 12-8 record.
