The Union Government has reached out to the Cockroach Janta Party team for talks as the group marches to the Parliament on the first day of the Monsoon session on July 20, 2026.

DCP, New Delhi, Sachin Sharma are talking on the Centre’s behalf with the CJP team, sources told The Hindu.
Initially, the CJP was offered talks with the District Magistrate, then with a Secretary to the Union Government, and also a Minister of State. However, the CJP rejected their offers, insisting they wanted a dialogue with the Prime Minister or a Cabinet Minister, according to sources. It is learnt that they submitted a list of ministers to the DCP.

Meanwhile, CJP’s spokesperson Saurav Das said he and Ashutosh Ranka will be meeting Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda. “The government had reached out for talks in the morning. Our demands are clear. The youth has gathered in huge numbers,” he posted on X, formerly Twitter.
