The 23rd edition of the Commonwealth Games will begin on July 23 in Glasgow.
12 athletes out of the 126 traveling to Scotland will be taking part in weightlifting events in this edition of the event.
In 2022, weightlifting was one of India’s most successful disciplines, as it took home 10 medals – three gold, three silver, and four bronze. Mirabai Chanu’s victory in the women’s 49kg event was also India’s first gold medal of the tournament.
