Actors Namkoong Min and Jin A-reum have welcomed their first child, a baby boy, four years after tying the knot. As per a report by The Chosun Daily, the couple's agency confirmed the news on July 26, 2026, sharing that both the mother and newborn are healthy.
In an official statement, the agency announced that a "precious new life" had arrived for the actor and his wife. It also thanked everyone for their warm wishes and asked for continued support as the family begins this new chapter.
The announcement came weeks after the agency confirmed Jin A-reum's pregnancy in June, 2026. At the time, their agency shared that they were preparing to welcome their new family member with happiness and gratitude while prioritizing Jin A-reum’s health and stability.
The news of the couple becoming parents to their first child was met with an outpouring of support across social media, where fans congratulated the couple and celebrated the happy milestone. One fan wrote,

Their professional connection eventually developed into a romantic relationship, and the two publicly confirmed they were dating later that year.
After a seven-year relationship, the couple announced their marriage in 2022. The actor’s agency, 935 Entertainment, revealed their wedding plans on September 28, 2022. The couple held a private ceremony on October 7, 2022, at Hotel Shilla in Seoul, surrounded by close family members and friends. Actor Jung Moon-sung hosted the ceremony, while TVXQ delivered a congratulatory performance.
Before becoming known as a couple, both Namkoong Min and Jin A-reum built careers in their respective fields. Namkoong Min, an actor and director, made his acting debut with the 2001 film Bungee Jumping of Their Own. He later gained wider recognition through the 2006 neo-noir film A Dirty Carnival.
Over the years, he established himself as one of South Korea’s leading actors with performances in projects including Remember (2015–2016), Beautiful Gong Shim (2016), Good Manager (2017), Hot Stove League (2019–2020), and My Dearest (2023).
