The traffic police have intensified drive against vehicles without High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) and number plates, issuing more than 7,200 challans and imposing fines totalling Rs 63.89 lakh over the past 22 days.

    During the drive conducted between July 1 and July 22, police issued 3,647 challans to vehicles operating without number plates, imposing fines of Rs 30,27,500. — OC
