The Toronto Blue Jays are expected to sell at this year's trade deadline as they sit six-games behind the final American League Wild Card spot with a 47-56 record.

Veteran Blue Jays pitcher, Kevin Gausman, who is in the final year of his $110 million contract, is linked with a move away from the AL East franchise ahead of the trade deadline.

MLB insider Patrick Mooneyand Sahadev Sharma discussed the upside of Gausman's potential move to the Chicago Cubs on the "North Side Territory."

Gausman holds a 4-9 record with a bloated 4.51 ERA after 21 starts for Toronto this season. He has allowed 11 earned runs in his last three starts.

Kevin Gausman has an eight-team no-trade clause which reportedly blocks his move to Cincinnati Reds, Milwaukee Brewers, Detroit Tigers, Seattle Mariners, Pittsburgh Pirates, Athletics, Chicago White Sox and New York Mets.

However, Gausman admitted giving a thought to a trade to one of the teams this season.

Gausman acknowledged his time with the Blue Jays, especially their run through to the World Series last year.
