India’s Bowls women’s pair team of Rupa Rani Tirkey and Pinki Singh continued their winning run on Saturday after beating Tonga in tie-break in sectional play at the Commonwealth Games 2026.

The Indian pair won the first set 5-2 before conceding the second 4-6. But Pinki produced great rolls under pressure in the tie-break to help the team edge out the opponents.

This was the third straight win for India in women’s pair sectional play. They had beaten Malta and South Africa before this, and now sit in the second place behind England, which is also unbeaten in three matches.

Since only one team goes through from the section to the semifinals, India and England, who will face off in their final sectional match, are setting up to play a potential quarterfinal.
