The Carolina Panthers had a disappointing update about offensive linebacker Nic Scourton.

On Thursday, NFL insider Ari Meirov posted that Scourton suffered a torn ACL injury during Day 1 of training camp. Thus, the Panthers will be without the linebacker for the entirety of the 2026 season.

Social media flooded with varying reactions to Nic Scourton's season-ending injury.

The Panthers drafted Nic Scourton with the No. 51 pick last year. During his rookie campaign, he played in 17 games with eight starts and recorded 47 tackles, 5.0 sacks and seven tackles for loss.

After an impressive rookie campaign, the expectations were high for Nic Scourton heading into Year 2. Now, the Carolina Panthers will have to navigate the campaign without him on the roster.

NFL reporter Cameron Wolfe took to social media, expressing his disappointment with the injury.
