President of the Hyderabad District Congress Syed Khalid Saifullah urged the public not to ignore the special intensive revision (SIR) exercise and announced that the party on Thursday (July 16) launched a helpline so as to assist electors in case they face difficulties.

“The move is to assist voters who are unsure about of how to fill enumeration forms, or those who have not been contacted by their BLOs,” Mr. Saifullah said, adding that PCC president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud had launched the helpline.

He said that the helpline number is 8826777445 and available from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. “Voters can contact the number to seek clarification on enumeration forms, supporting documents, verification procedures and other issues arising during the SIR exercise,” he said.

The helpline seeks to especially assist electors whose names are now under “anomalies”. The team handling the helpline will explain the reason for the anomaly, the procedure for seeking its removal and the documents that might be required to establish identity, residence or other voter details.
