American actor and film producer Samuel L Jackson termed Argentina a 'racist' country ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup final loss in extra time to European champions Spain on Sunday (July 19) in New Jersey.

Lionel Scaloni's holders lost 1-0, playing the entire extra time period a man short following Enzo Fernandez's dismissal on the cusp of regulation time. Ferran Torres beat custodian Emiliano Martinez - after being set up by fellow substitute Nico Williams - to seal La Roja's second World Cup title in as many finals.
