Harshith Reddy and Smeha Manimegalai's romantic drama Deewana is gearing up to reach a wider audience after completing its theatrical run earlier this year. Directed by debutant Srikanth Sangishetty, the film marked Harshith Reddy's debut as a lead actor and received mixed-to-positive reviews following its release. The romantic entertainer also attracted attention before its theatrical debut due to a last-minute release delay and has remained in the spotlight since then.

Streaming details of Deewana 2026 movie

Now, the film is ready to make its digital debut. Deewana will begin streaming on Aha from July 31, 2026. Subscribers to Aha Gold will get early access and can watch the film a day earlier, on July 30. The OTT release will be available in both Telugu and Tamil, with the Tamil version premiering exclusively on the streaming platform.

The makers officially announced the film's OTT premiere through social media, confirming that audiences can stream Deewana on Aha from July 31. Along with the announcement, they shared the tagline, "If you miss it, you'll miss a great experience," expressing confidence that the romantic drama will find a much larger audience on the digital platform.

The film's availability in both Telugu and Tamil is expected to expand its reach beyond its theatrical audience. Aha Gold subscribers will have the added benefit of watching the movie 24 hours before its official release on the platform.

With its theatrical journey complete, the makers are now hoping that the digital release will help Deewana connect with viewers who missed it in cinemas.

A debut film that overcame release hurdles

Deewana hit theatres on June 19, 2026, although its release was pushed back by a day after the makers reportedly encountered issues related to the film's certification.

According to the production team, the movie received an 'A' certificate from the Censor Board, and they did not have enough time to implement the suggested changes before the scheduled release. As a result, the film's release was delayed, forcing the cancellation of its planned premiere shows.

During the film's promotional events, director Srikanth Sangishetty became emotional while speaking about the unexpected delay and the challenges the team faced before the release.

Actress Jhansi and other members of the cast also defended the film, maintaining that despite its 'A' certification, it was suitable for family audiences. The team believed the postponement affected the momentum they had built through promotions ahead of the theatrical release.

Despite the setback, the film managed to receive mixed-to-positive reviews and generated encouraging word of mouth among viewers.
