Additional Secretary and Director General (Acquisition) at the Ministry of Defence, A. Anbarasu, lauded the transformation of Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) and reaffirmed its standing as the premier defence shipyard on India’s East Coast.

During an interaction with the HSL workforce on Saturday (July 18, 2026), Mr. Anbarasu praised the shipyard’s sustained growth and its comprehensive, end-to-end shipbuilding ecosystem. He highlighted the organisation’s proven expertise in delivering strategically critical maritime platforms for the nation.

Commending the dedication of the workforce and the positive operational energy at the facility, the official emphasised the vital role every employee plays in the broader context of nation-building.

“Place organisational interest above individual interest,” Anbarasu urged the team, calling for continued unity, purpose, and commitment to elevate the shipyard to even greater operational heights.

In response to the encouragement, Rear Admiral Chandrasekharan Raghuram, Chairman and Managing Director of HSL, reiterated the organisation’s ambitious roadmap. “The path is set and Team HSL is committed to making that vision a reality,” he said.
