The Delhi Police have arrested a history-sheeter allegedly linked to the Ashok Pradhan gang and apprehended three juveniles after an 800-km inter-state chase, foiling a fresh escalation in a gang rivalry, officials said on Friday.

The police arrested Mohit Bhardwaj, 29, of Najafgarh and apprehended three juveniles from Uttar Pradesh's Agra on Thursday, they said.

According to the police, the four were wanted in three separate cases involving knife assault, abduction and attempt to murder registered in connection with the ongoing rivalry between two factions of the Ashok Pradhan gang in the Najafgarh area.

According to the police, the accused fled Delhi and frequently changed locations across Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh to evade arrest. After tracking their movements for several days, a team raided their hideout in Agra and apprehended Mohit along with three juveniles.

A car allegedly used in one of the abduction cases registered on June 15 was also recovered during the operation. Police said Mohit is an active member of the Ashok Pradhan gang and has a criminal record involving offences such as murder, attempt to murder, armed robbery and violations of the Arms Act. Further investigation is under way.
