Director of Municipal Administration P. Madhusudhan Reddy reviewed various development works in Kanniyakumari municipality limits on Saturday.

Kanniyakumari Collector M. Prathap was also present during the inspection.

As part of visit, Mr. Reddy conducted a surprise inspection in Kanniyakumari and reviewed the public toilets being constructed under the Swachh Bharat 2.0 project, the works being carried out under the funds of the Tourism development department, the Underground Drainage System works and the beach beautification works.

During the inspection, he visited Triveni sangamam area and reviewed the condition of toilets, drinking water facilities and sanitation and hygiene of the area. He instructed the engineers and other officials to expedite the completion of all basic amenities required for tourists.

He also directed the officials to develop a multi-purpose parking space to ease the traffic congestion in Kanniyakumari. Subsequently Mr. Reddy also inspected Anjugramam and Kovalam areas.
