The State government has issued orders sanctioning a total of ₹1,095 crore towards social security and welfare pensions for the month of July, the distribution of which will begin on Friday (July 24, 2026).

    The order issued by the Finance department says that ₹941.73 crore has been sanctioned for the month of July for disbursing social security benefits to 51,10,908 beneficiaries across the State.

    In addition, the government has also sanctioned ₹24.76 crore towards the Union government’s National Social Assistance Programme for 8,46,456 beneficiaries covered under various schemes like the Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension scheme, Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension scheme and the Indira Gandhi National Widow pension scheme.

    The government order states that the beneficiaries will receive the pension through direct bank transfer and those who have opted for Direct-to-Home will receive it in their own houses through the doorstep delivery mechanism.

    The government has directed that the pension disbursement should be completed by August 3.
