District Collector Anand Mohan interacted with students, entrepreneurs, innovators and startup members here on Wednesday to understand their business prospects and the challenges they face while going in for marketing, expansion etc.

Over 70 entrepreneurs, startups, manufacturing unit representatives, food processers, information technology companies etc. participated in the meeting to display their products.

The participants, after explaining about their products, marketing and their future plans, also presented the challenges they were encountering while going in for expansion, identifying new markets, attracting investments and creating business links.

Silk cotton soap, natural beauty products, organic foods, GPS-based vehicle tracking solutions, students’ innovations were displayed in the meeting.

The AI-based ‘AlphaVoice’, a proprietary offline communication and documentation platform of Aboss Technologies that captures voice, identity and context automatically generating meeting minutes and action items, enjoyed wild reception in the meeting.

The participants also shared their experiences and their strategies in converting the challenges into opportunities.

Mr. Anand Mohan assured the entrepreneurs that the district administration would extend all-out support to them.

District Revenue Officer S. Vidhya and others were present.

Kanniyakumari District Collector M. Prathap met the entrepreneurs of micro, small and medium enterprises and the startup promoters on Wednesday.

After interacting with the participants to understand their challenges, business proposals, future plans for expansion etc., the Collector appealed to the startups to submit their detailed project reports for fine-tuning the projects and welfare schemes being implemented by the State Government.

Mr. Prathap also exhorted the officials to organise district-level hackathon and ‘Kumari Startup Thiruvizhaa’ in the coming months.
