An Assistant Professor at Government Thoothukudi Medical College Hospital ended his life at his house here on Tuesday night.

Police said Navaneetha Prabhu, 39, an Assistant Professor of Anaesthesia, allegedly ended his life at his house in Third Street, Bryant Nagar, under Thoothukudi South Police Station limits around 9 p.m.

He was rushed to the hospital by his family members, but doctors there declared him ‘brought dead’.

His wife Poornima, also a doctor, is working with V.O.C. Port, Thoothukudi.
