Donovan Dijak has reacted to a shocking return after two years on WWE SmackDown. The July 10 edition of the blue brand emanated from the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City.
The night featured some top-quality in-ring action, with CM Punk and Cody Rhodes also setting up their match for SummerSlam. But the shocker of the night dropped midway through the show.
A non-title match between United States champion Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes had the attention of the fans. Toward the end of the contest, Hayes went to the top rope for Melo Don’t Miss but was pulled down by a returning Baron Corbin.
Corbin laid out Hayes before delivering an End of Days to Williams. He then grabbed the US title and dropped it beside the champion to make his intentions clear. Now, Donovan Dijak, who recently teamed up with Corbin in MLW, has reacted to this return.
Resharing a post from the Stamford-based promotion on X, Dijak sounded excited about this development and labeled Corbin as the best in the world.
Both Corbin and Dijak departed the sports entertainment giant in 2024 and formed The Skyscrapers tag team in MLW. They won the MLW Tag Team Championship together at Summer of the Beasts in June 2025.
Notably, Corbin was stripped of the title recently due to a storyline contract dispute. This led to speculation about a possible WWE return, and it has now materialized.
Following his return on SmackDown, WWE launched new merchandise for Baron Corbin with the nickname 'Nomad' on the front. Corbin used this nickname after his departure from the promotion two years ago.
Corbin joined WWE in 2012, getting his start on NXT. He won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 32, and a main roster call-up followed.
During this run, he won the King of the Ring tournament in 2019 and also held the US title once. He also won the Money in the Bank briefcase in 2017 but was unsuccessful in his cash-in attempt.
After his contract expired in November 2024, it wasn't renewed, and he left the promotion.
