Romantic comedy series Dream to You premiered on July 13, 2026. It stars Hwang In-youp as Woo Soo-bin, also known as Ian Woo, a film director who returns to South Korea after gaining recognition abroad. Lee Hyeri plays Joo Yi-jae, a reporter navigating financial pressures while working in broadcasting. The supporting cast features Baek Sung-chul as Shim Yoo-geon and Lee Yul-eum as Oh Ha-na, along with Park Hyun-ok as Joo Yi-jae’s mother.

The story centers on the reunion of two individuals who shared a first love and filmmaking ambitions as teenagers. Fifteen years earlier, Joo Yi-jae carried a dream to become a director, while Woo Soo-bin assisted her. They collaborated on an unfinished script called Gyeongseong Love Song. Soo-bin later left for the United States, which ended their shared plans and left Yi-jae dealing with heartbreak.

In the present day, Soo-bin has become a successful director and seeks to finish the script with Yi-jae. She continues to feel resentment over the broken promise and past events.

The series consists of 12 episodes and airs on the ENA network every Monday and Tuesday. Dream to You episodes 3 and 4 are scheduled to air on July 20 and July 21, 2026, at 10 pm KST. New episodes become available for streaming on Genie TV following the broadcast. The series is also accessible on Viu and Viki in select regions.

As per the preview, the show will continue to focus on the developing dynamic between Joo Yi-jae and Woo Soo-bin. One sequence depicts Yi-jae presenting a bouquet of flowers to Soo-bin and asking him to hit her. This is because Yi-jae's producer asked to bring Soo-bin back to her show to secure her own slot.

Another moment shows Shim Yoo-geon and Oh Ha-na meeting on a rooftop. Ha-na says she kept thinking about it. Yoo-geon proposes the idea of being friends with her.

The preview then shows Soo-bin placing his jacket over Yi-jae's shoulders. He tells her he's not asking for understanding or forgiveness for now. Yi-jae, likely in a drunken state, questions why Soo-bin continues to appear in her life, followed by his statement that he has been unable to forget her. A later scene shows Yi-jae initiating an embrace.

A separate comedic portion follows a night of drinking, with Yi-jae going to Soo-bin's residence and attempting to leave quietly before encountering him without a shirt on, resulting in an awkward confrontation. The preview also captures the pair positioned close together against a bathroom wall.

This further suggests that both pairs are getting close in their own ways.

Dream to You episode 1 introduces the present-day lives of the leads alongside flashbacks to their teenage years. It begins with Woo Soo-bin accepting awards at an international film festival for his film Wandering. He credits his first love during the speech and announces his return to South Korea. Joo Yi-jae appears as a reporter.

After discovering the news of Soo-bin's achievements, she reacts with visible shock. Their first meeting in 15 years takes place at her workplace. Flashbacks illustrate their school-era connection, including Yi-jae’s dedication to filming and Soo-bin's support.

Present-day conversations in Dream to You episode 1 touch on past promises and current circumstances. Subplots show Shim Yoo-geon balancing delivery work and acting goals. He met Oh Ha-na during a photo session.

The episode concludes with Soo-bin meeting Yi-jae at a cafe, where he reveals the old script and proposes collaboration. Yi-jae spills coffee on the script and later confronts him in the rain about his return and the pain from their shared history.

Dream to You episode 2 advances the main storyline through additional flashbacks and present-day developments at a grapevine farm where Yi-jae is shooting for her work. Soo-bin arrives as a guest on her program and announces plans to direct Gyeongseong Love Song as his next project.

After the interview, Yi-jae demands compensation for involvement with the script. She rejects his attempts at closeness by pushing him away physically after he leans in. Flashbacks revisit the period of Soo-bin's departure announcement, Yi-jae’s wait at his gate, and the car accident she suffered afterward, which resulted in hospitalization and the news of her father’s death.

Yoo-geon continues his efforts in auditions and modeling, with further encounters involving Ha-na at a press event. The episode ends with Yi-jae's producer requesting that she arrange another appearance by Soo-bin on the show in exchange for a personal opportunity, and she goes to meet Soo-bin.
